Colors are very bright and the body is soft. There have been few changes to the doll I loved so much - think velcro instead of shoe laces - but overall quality remains very high. The button-hoes were a little tight for two-year old fingers, but I think they will loosen up with use. I had a Dressy Bessy when i was a child (nearly 40 years ago). and just got this one for my two-year old niece.
It also washes very well. Our twin granddaughters love "Dressy Bessy". It's soft and has lots of things for them to work and chew.
The best part (as far as the girls are concerned) is the secret zipper pocket with a hiding place for teddy. I loved my Dressy Bessy when I was little, so when I saw this "new" version I just knew my twin girls would love it too. A great low-tech, educational, interactive toy that can grow with your developing child. My favorite part.NO NOISE. The doll has so many fun, bright colors with great textures and patterns. Super soft and small enough for little hands to carry around.
A pocket on her vest contains a small kitten. I purchased this doll for my young granddaughter. She is a soft doll to carry around and provides lots of activities to practice those fine motor skills. And her shoes have velcro closures. She is bright, colorful, and cheerful looking. Her vest opens with a big button, her ponytails have ribbons, under her vest is a zippered pocket with a special treat.
I had this doll as a child and my 13 month old daughter loves it.
